studiVZ
Background information
studiVZ is one of the leading student networks in Europe. The aim and purpose of the platform is to establish the network culture in European universities and thus overcoming academic boundaries. Furthermore, it is necessary to reduce the anonymity of the universities and to provide an intuitive platform to organize themselves on the students and student initiatives on campus predominantly local issues and can share.
studiVZ offers its users the opportunity to portray real-life friends online and also consider writing to find out who the friends of their friends and what interests they have. This is supported by photo profiles, news features, photo albums and 580,000 topics über groups. Consider writing, it is precisely the components of “social networking”, such as the “Gruscheln” that make the student project so popular. studiVZ thus serves as a constantly self and update a contact book.
Since a few months studiVZ with separate platforms in other European countries represented: studentIX.pl in Poland, estudiLN.net in Spain, Italy and studiLN.it studiQG.fr in France. In addition, since 20.02.2007 schülerVZ online, a network that is specifically geared to the NEEDS of Schools grades 5-13 to attract pupils.
